In the light of growing competition in the nature of value addition spice business, research and development department opened by the organization in the year of 2005 has been tremendous value to organization not only to find new products that have a potential to become a product for the industries such as food and beverage, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and aromatherapy but also it directs and drives organization to acquire latest technology available to the industry itself. When organization moves forward to maturity stage, R&D division is so imperative to conduct a trial runs for the products that will serve the organization in future. With the introduction of the research and development, the general product portfolio has been increased in line with R&D efforts that are conducted. In addition organization has been able to crease product quality with support of R&D is one of the success stories that happened in recent years. The general practice is that once the R&D department finds a new product then it will be sent to the potential buyers to test with their final formulas in relation to the cosmetics, food and beverages, aromatherapy and pharmaceuticals. After receiving the acceptance from the buyers then the product will be devised with help of the quality systems that are established namely ISO 22000 standard for food safety and the Kaizen for continuous improvement.   

Quality assurance department

The prime duty of the quality assurance department is to ensure that product quality is met with the international standards that are put forward in order to protect the consumers in different geographical areas. By establishing the quality assurance department in the year of 2005, organization is in position to provide in house certificate of analysis for each batch that is shipped under the brand name of HDDES. In current circumstance QC department services make available to the customers are    

  1. Chemical Analysis of Essential Oil and Oleoresins
  2. GLC – (Gas Liquid Chromatography for identifying chemical constitutes of essential oils)
    GC-MS – (Gas Chromatography - Mass Spectrometer for identifying sophisticated chemicals structures of essential oils)
    HPLC – (High Pressure liquid Chromatography for testing composition of oleoresins, pesticides residue)  
    Spectrophotometer

  3.  Physical Analysis of Essential Oils and Oleoresins
  4. Aroma – By comparing standard sample
    Optical rotation – Polarimeter
    Specific Gravity – Specific Gravity Meter
    Refractive Index- Refractometer
    (All the above mentioned measuring/analyzing equipments are available in the factory premises once it is required for testing and analyzing purposes)
